If I had to choose one pattern that captures everything I'm about as a designer, this would be it. Inky Florals began with shibori folding techniques and ink on a humble scrap of paper, creating organic floral shapes that felt both ancient and completely new. You loved textured and colorful version that is currently available on kaftans, shirts, and scarves but this red and gold version is the one I created while on a semester away at Heriot Watt University in 2023. The colors of the leaves turning shades of amber and bright red found their way into my design that year.
This is where my academic work meets my artistic heart, where technique serves pure creativity. It was the breakout star of my Satchel collection, the design people still ask me to bring back, the one that feels most like me. Pleased to bring it out in this colorway.
