Sometimes the best art comes from beautiful failures.
This design has one of my favorite origin stories—it began with plastic scraps from a laser cutting project, randomly scattered across paper like abstract puzzle pieces. I traced each fragment, then painted the whole thing in watercolors using lovely shades of true blue. When I stepped back, I hated it completely.
So I did what any reasonable artist would do: I cut it up.
The pieces became a collage, fragments finding new relationships they never had before. Through Photoshop magic, those blues transformed into shimmering turquoise, set against a bright yellow-green ground that changes everything. Suddenly, what was broken became brilliant—like sunlight dancing on swimming pool water, all movement and liquid light.
This bowling shirt captures that exact moment when disappointment becomes discovery, when cutting something apart lets it become whole in a completely different way. It's a wearable reminder that sometimes you have to destroy something to find what it was always meant to be.
