What a Time to Be Alive

I wish I could run my business without talking about politics, but I really can't afford to do that. The sustained scapegoating of Black people, along with immigrants, Trans people, and women is too much for me to silently absorb every day.
The incompetence, corruption, cronyism, and blatant disregard for the lives of the people living in this country is too much. Planes are falling out of the sky or barely making it to the ground safely, people are losing their jobs and services are being cut to people who need them, people are being snatched off the streets and disappeared to concentration camps in other countries, the FDIC says banks can buy crypto without any disclosures and you-know-who has a memecoin, a billionaire has stolen the personal financial information of every person in this country who has ever paid taxes or has a social security number under the "authority" of a made-up department called DOGE, and the defense secretary texted attack plans on an app like he was planning an office surprise party. This man's previous qualifications for the job of secretary of defense was he hosted a show on a propaganda TV network. The man who was fired so that the TV host could be hired was a four star general. And at the same time, they're trying desperately to erase Black history and literally targeting Black federal workers, Trans people, all "non-white" immigrants and anything that lays bare the truth about this country.
It seems the administration plans to go back to straight up Jim Crow... or something worse. I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if some form of slavery or indentured servitude is involved, and neither should you. It's out in the open with the anti-DEI bullshit, which targets Black people and women and Trans people and people with disabilities and eventually everyone who is not a white man. They should just say what they mean, which is Whites Only. Everyone else is just cheap labor.
After reading about yet another airplane collision near-miss, I got inspired to make this collage. It might be a pointless act but it sure felt good to make it. Bring back DEI. I want to live in a country where shit works for everybody, don't you? Speaking of which, if you haven't done it already, go to the Social Security administration's website and download your records before they get chewed up in a bad DOGE database migration. It's like these guys watched the Nick Burns SNL skit and took it as a good way to behave.
